Netbooks will increase popularity this 2010

This year 2010. we will expect netbooks to rise in sale and production. also we will keep and eye on touchbooks. ever since AsusTek Computer Inc. got the netbook craze going with its 7-inch Eee PC in late 2007, tech consumers have been gravitating to the devices. According to data from research company Gartner Inc., netbooks made up an estimated 10 percent of all PC shipments in 2009, up from 4 percent a year earlier and expected to rise this year 2010.

These devices had small screens — generally 7 to 11 inches, compared with about 14 to 17 inches on a full-sized laptop — and often smaller-than-normal keyboards. PC makers kept prices down by avoiding extras such as DVD drives and Bluetooth wireless connectivity.

Netbooks and touchbooks are the way to go in your Mobile Life.

Compaq- The brand is back with ultra cheap machines

The Compaq CQ61z is the new laptop with a 15.6-inch laptop with an AMD Sempron CPU, 2GB of RAM, DVD burner with 160GB hard-drive, and discrete graphics. Running Windows 7 Home Premium, the machine costs a nearly unfathomable $399. its just like the price of a netbook, wow! , this is the ultimate cheap laptop from HP (Compaq)

The $400 Compaq laptops arrival, Customers and potential buyers like me Asked this question: Why not buy a laptop with much larger and more capable system for exactly the same price of a netbook? I'm having a hard time seeing any reason not to. Seriously hehehehe..

Even better bargains abound for desktop shoppers. The attractive Compaq Presario 4010f has similar specs (with a 250GB hard drive) and starts at just $309 after a $100 rebate.

The system will be available on October 22 2009, and runs the Windows 7 OS

Compaq is in a Price war with netbooks. it will be a mater of time from now that netbooks will feel the pinch and pressure of this price war..

we will have a review of the the compaq new pc here as soon as we get one..

Asus Eee PC T91

Asus Eee PC T91

The assus Eee PC T91 is the first convertable tablet netbook.
"a touch-screen laptop is not meant to be primarily used with a traditional keyboard and touch pad. The screen on the Eee PC T91 is a resistive touch panel, so it works with any input device, such as your fingers or the included nonactive stylus. And because using a small touch screen, whether on a 9-inch Netbook or an even smaller UMPC, can be a hassle when trying to fumble around Windows XP, Asus has included a custom interface meant for finger-driven computing. - Cnet"

Price as reviewed $499
Processor 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520
Memory 1GB, 533MHz DDR2
Hard drive 16GB SSD, plus 16GB SD card
Chipset Intel SCH US15W
Graphics Intel GMA 500 (integrated)
Operating System Windows XP Home SP3
Dimensions (WD) 8.9 inches wide by 6.4 inches deep
Height 1.0 - 1.1 inches
Screen size (diagonal) 8.9 inches
System weight / Weight with AC adapter 2.1/2.6 pounds
Category Netbook

The 8.9-inch wide-screen LED display offers a 1,024x600 native resolution, which is standard for Netbooks. These days, we're also used to larger 10-inch displays, and the smaller screen may take a little getting used to. However, we said largely the same thing about 7-inch displays when the first 9-inch Netbooks hit the market.

This is a nice Netbook and first of its kind. the downside is that the battery is build-in and not replaceable by users. you have to take your netbook to a service center to replace the battery,
over all review, the product is worth buying.. :)

NOTE: buy the T91 black version its much sexy to look at..

Boot from USB flash drive - Netbook tools

It is such a pain when your Netbook OS wont start. well there is a solution where
you can boot from the USB Disk and access your netbook local drive to do repairs and backups. i have found this tutorial the works. and have tested it.
you can find more on how to boot from USB flash drive here

The guide is step by step. you can make a bootable flash disk for emergency use for your netbook. you will need at least 500mb or more USB storage.

Making a bootable usb pen drive is very usefull for netbooks first aid. as we all knew that netbooks dont a a cd-rom drive. unless you are always carrying an external USB cd-rom. :)

Have fun with this project. regards from Haktech.Solutions.
